stuff.
yep. It's been a while. I haven't posted much because everything has been a whirlwind of crazy shit.
First off was Leslie's birthday. She's the roomie I've lived with the longest. 4 years. Four effing years! She really is my H.L.P. We ate, boy did we eat, they drank - I just made the margarita's and damn were they good well except for the "black death" I put a bit too much tequilla in there... We all danced. Music, Mayhem the usual.
Next up was a craigslist posting that Leslie found about a half flat in Noe Valley. Phone calls were made, emails were sent and we thought that was that. Then out of the blue we were contacted and told that the person(s) who was to rent the flat for the summer wasn't going to be renting it after all and that it was now back up on the market. Last Saturday morning there was an open house. I'm not sure how many people showed up. It was only for an hour and my group was the only ones looking around. I dragged Kevin along with me for an outsiders opinion PLUS I miss that boy and wanted to spend some time with him. We all loved the place. More emails were exchanged and phone calls placed and two days ago we went down to sign the lease. The place is ours. It's so cute! It's a victorian aged home, and is full of victorian fixtures and charm. HERE are some crappy photos that the property manager took. It doesn't do the place justice and as soon as we move in I'll be taking a zillion pictures.
Along with all that drama is our current landlord situation. Our landlady is a crackhead. She apparently forgot to have us sign a new lease even though she said we could be month to month.. she apparently forgot this conversation. Our lease was up last October. ALL this time she didn't check her records or anything to see if we had indeed signed a new lease. I recall Leslie telling me that she said as long as we kept our deposit with them we wouldn't have to sign a new lease. Wierd. Also she didn't know who our 4th roommate, Parker was. Both her and Bunny filled out paperwork and sent them in at the same time. AND she never talked to her lawyer like she said she was going to about the security deposit. All of this just makes me happy I'm moving out. She's so wierd, and as it seems a bit incompetant in property management. Parker isn't moving with us she's going to stay and try to rent out the place with new roomies. GOOD LUCK GIRL!
So that is what I've been busy with. Thinking about the new place. Shopping around for new furniture for it... you know all the fun stuff that goes along with moving.

Your place looks great! I'm so jealous. How lovely to have a fireplace AND a yard!?! Wow. And here I am, crammed in a studio, below a family of THREE FUCKING PEOPLE (i just found out) living in a studio above me. Ugh. NY apts suck.
