she bangs the drums

Please quit dwelling on things. I get it. We get it. Let's just take a deep breath and a step forward. Let's keep moving forward, keep growing, keep learning. Follow through with your plans, finish what you started, complete the process.

People like to say that life is short but I don't think that's necessarily so. Life can be long and rich and full of color but you've got to pick up the paintbrush, dip it in the paint and put it on the canvas. No one is going to do it for you. There are different stages in life. None of them quite the same. you are born, you grow into a child you think like a child and you act like a child and then you become an adolescent and then you have your 20's, 30's, 40's and so on. Each decade bringing different opportunities both presented and lost.

Needless to say I want my life to be a masterpiece of vibrant memories of all the fun and crazy things I had the chance to experience. All my friendships that accompanyed me along my path. Pictures that were taken along the way. I want to have real connections with my friends that are deep and lasting. That in 10, 20 or 30 years I will still be able to call up or visit with and still be just as close as ever.

I have put together quite a list of things for me to do this week and the next and the next. Going out isn't a chore, it's fun. Dancing is good for you. Meeting new people is exciting. I don't want to be a homebody and I certainly don't want to be going to bed at 9 or 10 at night.

-Sushi with my peoples tonight afterwork
-Redlight at the Arrow bar tomorrow
-SOMA Magazine Fashion Show Party at Roe on Thursday
-Club I.D. at the Rickshaw on Friday

and lots of sleeping in on Saturday...

P.S. I love the stone roses.
