She looks like one of those rap guys girlfriends

Bunny and I both had to be at work at 9 this morning so we left the house together to go catch the bus. She was taking one bus and I another but the pick up spots were on the same corner, near the bart station at 16th and Mission. We checked to see if our respective busses were coming, but they weren't so we stood on the corner talking when a black man approched us. He sounded nice and politely said "Why hello there ladies?" We both responded with hello, assuming that he was going to ask for change, or the time, or something as most people who approach total strangers on that corner so often do. But all he did was look directly at me and say "Girl, you got a butt like a black girl!" and then he walked away. My jaw kind of dropped and then we both busted out into a fit of laughter. We pondered why this guy thought it was okay to tell me that, was it lack of tact or something more. Maybe he thought he was giving me a compliment? It made me laugh.
